Insurance Coverage
Auto Insurance
Having adequate Car Insurance limits is mandatory in Florida and not only to cover the vehicle itself but also to cover the driver.
Auto insurance involves personal injury coverage if you’re injured, and liability coverage if you injure someone else or their property. If you have a loan to purchase your car, comprehensive and collision coverages are typically required by the lender. By accessing several insurances carriers, I can shop for the best coverage, discounts, and policy benefits.
Shopping for a new or additional car? It’s important to consider insurance costs in addition to the purchase.
Just send me the following:
• VIN (Vehicle Identification Number)
• Color, year, make and model
• Your Name, address, age, phone
I’m happy to provide a complimentary estimate.
Potential discounts include:
• Multiple vehicles
• Vehicle Safety features
• Good student for young drivers
• Low mile usage
*Pricing is strictly estimated and I cannot provide an exact cost without running additional personal information through the insurance companies. *
Home Owners Insurance
To most of us, our home is a significant or most valuable financial asset. Let’s partner to keep you financially whole in the event of loss due to weather occurrence, fire, theft, vandalism, or other covered events.
Home Owner’s policy typically covers*:
• Exterior structure & additional structure on the property
• Interior contents, as well as personal property
• Family/Liability
• Loss of use
• Medical expenses
• Hurricane Coverage
There may be some cases that you need Scheduled Personal Property —special coverage for valuables, or collectibles like jewelry, guns, collectibles, rugs, etc.
If your policy is being canceled or you would like to compare your policy to other carriers, just send me your request for a quote along with the existing declarations page to easily assess current coverage and provide comparative quotes. Or schedule a consultation at no charge to evaluate adequate coverage for your specific needs and possible discounts, benefits, and riders.
*Florida Home Owners Insurance policy does not include Flood Insurance. Flood Insurance Policies must be purchased separately.
Please Note: if you are looking for insurance for a rental property, or home that is un-occupied, I can help with “specialty dwelling” policy.
Condo Insurance
Condo Insurance is different from Home Owners’ as it only covers the interior structure of your unit, including fixtures like flooring, cabinets, and built-in appliances.
Condo Insurance (HO-6) complements the condo association's master policy that typically covers the building's exterior and common areas.
Coverage typically includes:
• personal property
• liability
• loss of use
• loss assessment
Scheduled Personal Property —special coverage for valuables, or collectibles like jewelry, guns, collectibles, rugs, etc. can still be added to Condo insurance.
Some town-homes are insured like condos. Call me to find out which specific coverage is required for your town-home.
Classic Vehicle Insurance
Protect your antique or collector car with a specialized type of insurance. This specialty insurance utilizes Agreed Value Coverage rather than replacement coverage. It means ensuring your collector value is maintained while also protecting you during everyday driving for fun.
Coverage benefits often include:
- Specialty items installed
- Modifications on the classic vehicle
- No limits on miles
- Spare parts covered
- Roadside membership included
Flood Insurance
Flood Insurance is not only for hurricane occurrence. Exterior water* that causes damage to your home is only covered by Flood Insurance, not your Home Owners, Dwelling, or Condo policy.
Did you know that every single house in the entire country is in a FEMA flood zone? However, some flood zones are worse than others. Flood Insurance is often required in low lying areas where flood risk is greater. Homes in less prone flood zones can still qualify for flood insurance and sometimes at a lower rate.
Just inquiry with me if you would like to find out more!
*Not all exterior water is covered under Flood Insurance-exclusions apply to Flood policy
*Ask about waste water backup coverage
Umbrella insurance
An Umbrella insurance policy can provide an additional layer of liability coverage beyond your existing other policies. Accidents happen every day and even though they weren’t intended, without adequate liability coverage, you can still be held accountable. Ubrella insurance can protect contentious and expensive legal battle, which could put your assets or financial position at risk.
Why have a Personal Umbrella Insurance Policy?
- Provides an extra layer of liability protection: supplements your other policies liability coverage.
- Covers certain claims not covered by other policies: could provide coverage for claims that might be excluded by other liability policies, such as libel, slander, defamation, or false arrest
- Protects your assets and future income: you could be forced to pay out-of-pocket for expenses related to a lawsuit or claim
- Affordable peace of mind: modest premiums compared to risking significant financial turmoil
Dwelling and Rental
Dwelling coverage is used when traditional Home Owners Policy is not available because it’s not your primary residence and may not be occupied at all times.
Dwelling Insurance is for the following properties:
• Homes under building construction
• Rental properties
• Second/Vacation homes
Renters Insurance Coverage is available to cover personal property when renting a home for personal use long term.
Motorcycle Coverage
Basic motorcycle coverage includes liability, collision, and comprehensive.
Additional coverage for: Medical payments, uninsured, towing and labor, rental reimbursement, and added equipment
Even though Florida does not require motorcycle insurance, in the event of accident or injury you are still personally responsible for damages. Motorcycle Insurance mitigates financial losses.
